昨天是我大学的Info Day

就是小型的Open Day

先说明现状

1. 我现在在summer break

2. 我在大学做internship，关于composting

我的supervisor也是lecturer啦

叫我卖一包包的compost

说到这里，大多数的你们不知道什么是compost吧？

compost就是堆肥/有机肥料

就是用厨余和干叶子加在一起

然后小细菌会帮忙消化，分解这些东西

明白不？

还不明白就自己google吧

so

老师就叫我卖嘛

卖这compost不是重点 （讲那么多还不是重点！）

重点是家长来询问的问题

如果有人要读chemical engineering or 想了解的
以下我整理了给大家了解下

父母问：

1. 化学工程是怎样的？

2. 你们的lifestyle怎样？辛苦吗？

3. 都学了什么？

4. 为什么别的大学都一定要4年才毕业，这里却可以选择3年或4年毕业呢？有什么分别？

5. chemical & environmental engineering 跟chemical engineering有什么差别呢？

我们（都是在读的学生）就会大概就这样回答

1. we study about the design of process/equipment, process control, safety, project management, analytical lab...so we learned to design a plant and analysis the profit and cost and so on...blah blah blah

2. ermmm...not bad (心虚）so depends on you, someone will getting busy and someone will manage their time to complete their coursework on time. Is very changeling when you get those groupmate......hehehe

4. Our campus is based on UK standard. so they spend 3 years to get the BEng and 4 years for MEng, but in Malaysia, whatever who wants to become a registered engineer, must spend 4 years to study the engineering course. whether study 3 years or 4 years, depends on your decision and what can I say is you better study 4 years than 3 years if you will working in Malaysia.

5.   Both almost the same, just two or three modules per one academic year will be the different between this two courses.

很多人觉得chemical engineering 就是顾名思义
就读关于化学的东西比较多
错！
化学工程多数读的是数学和物理
我们不会去深入了解chemical reaction的principle
当我们会知道这些chemical reaction
因为我们要design reactor for that particular reaction
所以说不要被chemical 的字眼误导
请多了解了再考虑吧
